Some people still do not understand (or pretend not to understand) that the fact of importing Kazakh wheat was not about Kazakhstan, nor about wheat, nor about the grade of wheat. This was stated by Babken Tunyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction of the National Assembly of Armenia on his Facebook page.

“Our people are not starving, that the government had set the task of importing 1000 tons of a specific wheat for people to have bread to eat. It was about having new transportation routes, regardless of whether it would be wheat, straw thread, or professional literature on demagogy. If the wheat was of the 4th grade… what about your comments, esteemed wheat experts?” he wrote.
