Kazakhstan Ready to Supply 20,000 Tons of Wheat to Armenia Monthly
Kazakhstan is prepared to supply Armenia with 15,000 to 20,000 tons of food grains each month. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. It is noted that the 'Prodcorporation,' a division of the Kazakh authority, is negotiating with Armenian partners interested in stable supplies of Kazakh wheat. In the long term, the volume of grain shipments to Yerevan may increase.
It is worth recalling that after a 35-year hiatus, on November 6, 1000 tons of Russian wheat arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijani territory for the first time. On the night of November 7 to 8, Kazakh wheat also reached Armenia through the Azerbaijani transit route.
