Fugitive Wanted for Indecent Acts Against Minor in the U.S. Found in Armenia
The Main Criminal Police Department received operational information that a man wanted for committing indecent acts against a minor in the United States was hiding in Armenia. This was reported by the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A warrant for the arrest of the U.S. citizen had been issued back in 2024 for committing an offense under several articles of the Texas Penal Code. On August 5 of this year, the U.S. law enforcement agencies declared an international manhunt for the individual.
The officers of the Criminal Police of Armenia, actively cooperating with the regional security service of the U.S. Embassy, began efforts to locate the fugitive. It was determined where the suspect was hiding, and officers from the Shirak Regional Department of the Criminal Police were also involved in the search operations.
On November 5, the suspect was located and arrested in one of the houses on Sundukyan Street in Gyumri. Interpol and the Prosecutor's Office have been notified about the discovery of the fugitive.
