Serzh Sargsyan on the Three Main Causes of the 44-Day War
The 44-day war was unavoidable. The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, stated during the "Imnemnim" podcast that there were three main reasons for the war.
"The first reason was avoiding the negotiation process and completely abandoning it. The negotiating party presented an unclear option, which led to the cessation of talks. The second reason, according to Sargsyan, was that steps were taken that gave Azerbaijan the opportunity to justify its military initiative - starting the war," said the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
