Azerbaijani Army Transitioning to NATO Standards: Aliyev
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has announced that the country’s armed forces are continuing to transition towards meeting NATO standards. He made this statement during a meeting in Baku with a NATO delegation.
According to Aliyev, the modernization process of the Azerbaijani army is being carried out in close cooperation with the Turkish armed forces. The President emphasized that the reforms aim to enhance the management and combat readiness of the armed forces in line with international standards.
He stated that Baku values the expansion of bilateral relations with NATO and the exchange of experience to deepen cooperation in the field of security. Aliyev added that the modernization efforts of the army will continue in the upcoming period.
