The First Batch of Russian Wheat Transiting Through Azerbaijan Has Arrived in Armenia: Papoyan
The first batch of wheat from Russia has arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijani territory. This was announced by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during a broadcast on Public Television.
“This is Russian wheat, which usually came through Upper Lars. You know what difficulties there were there—queues, and at the same time, the transport communication had quite a few obstacles. This has come to Azerbaijan by rail through Russian territory, and since we currently do not have direct rail communication between Armenia and Azerbaijan, it entered Georgia and then from Georgia to Armenia,” the minister said.
According to him, wheat from Kazakhstan via Azerbaijan will also reach Armenia in a few days.
