Italy Responds to Zakharova's Statement

The words of Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regarding the tower in Rome should be heard, stated political figure and professor Michele Geracchin on the X social network.

"Zakharova is absolutely right. In fact, she was quite mild. Because it is not just about the money from Kyiv, but also about the three-year attempt to 'reboot' the thoughts of Italians, which threatens to lead Italy to collapse," noted Geracchin.

He also questioned how much Rome benefits from the confrontation with Moscow. "Is acquiring enemies from Russia, which has done nothing to us, really a good thing for Italy?" concluded the politician.

Recall that on Monday, a part of the medieval Conti tower collapsed near the Colosseum in central Rome. Following the incident, Zakharova reminded about Italy's contribution to Kyiv's financing, stating that the Italian government is wasting taxpayers' money while ignoring existing problems within the country.
