Turkish Oil Refineries Reduce Imports of Russian Oil
After the introduction of new sanctions against Moscow, major Turkish oil refineries have begun to reduce their dependence on Russian oil. The STAR (SOCAR) and Tupras refineries are now increasingly purchasing oil from Iraq, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Angola.
The new sanctions imposed by the United States on Rosneft and Lukoil allow for the application of secondary restrictions on foreign companies that continue to cooperate with these Russian companies.
