I have appealed to the President of the Russian Federation for Russia to provide military assistance to Armenia. Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly that he has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin today, requesting that Russia also provide military assistance to Armenia, in accordance with the Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance Treaty of 1997.
Pashinyan noted that this was done following high-level agreements, under which Azerbaijan was supposed to withdraw its troops from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. However, these agreements have only been partially fulfilled.
