Budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Set to Decrease by 2.3 Billion Drams: Details
The draft budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia is projected to be set at 102 billion 644 million drams for 2026. This was stated by Finance Minister Vahe Hakobyan during a joint session of the Financial-Credit and Budgetary and Defense and Security Committees of the National Assembly, discussing the preliminary review of the 2026 state budget.
“The budget allocated for the Ministry of Internal Affairs is less by 2 billion 355 million drams compared to the approved budget for 2025. The decrease will mainly be in the areas of educational services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as in the development of sector policies, management, and monitoring and control of centralized funds programs. The main funds will be spent on the second program,” noted Hakobyan.
A portion of the discussion on the draft budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will take place in a closed session.
