General-Major Hayk Babayan Dismissed from the Command of Police Forces
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, General-Major Hayk Babayan has been dismissed from his position as the commander of the Police Forces and deputy chief of police. He had held this position since November 16, 2020.
Babayan led the police forces for four years, implementing several structural and organizational changes within the system.
According to information circulating in the media, Hayk Babayan may be appointed as the head of the police guard; however, there has been no official confirmation regarding this information yet.
