Christianity Faces Existential Threat in Nigeria
American politicians are calling for Nigeria to be included in the list of "Countries of Particular Concern" due to the ongoing mass killings of Christians in the country. According to a statement, more than 3,100 Christians have been killed in Nigeria in 2024 alone, out of a total of 4,476 cases registered worldwide.
“We strongly condemn the massacres taking place in Nigeria. This is an existential threat to Christianity, and we cannot remain indifferent to such atrocities,” the statement reads.
The author emphasized that they have reached out to Congressman Riley Moore and Tom Cole, the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, to discuss the matter urgently.
