Serzh Sargsyan on David Hambazumyan Remaining as Prime Minister Candidate
David Hambazumyan will remain our candidate in the impeachment case as the Prime Minister candidate. This was stated by Armenia's third president Serzh Sargsyan in a conversation with reporters.
"The verdict regarding David Hambazumyan has not yet entered into legal force, and naturally, the lawyers will appeal, and during this time, all his rights are protected," Sargsyan disclosed.
Earlier, Sargsyan mentioned in a conversation with journalists before the court hearing that it is evident the judicial system is politicized and that judicial situations depend on one person.
It is noted that Masis Mayor David Hambazumyan was detained yesterday at the "Zvartnots" airport. He has been sentenced to 6 years and 3 months of imprisonment. The judge has also revoked the bail condition and applied detention.
