Moscow Ready to Sign Security Guarantees for NATO and EU, Lavrov
The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has stated that Moscow is prepared to provide security guarantees, confirming that there is no intention to attack NATO or European Union member countries.
“We have repeatedly emphasized that we have no offensive intent against any member of NATO or the EU, and there has never been such an intention. We are ready to include this position in future security guarantees, but EU leaders are avoiding discussing this issue in a joint format,” Lavrov noted.
Simultaneously, according to the head of Russia's Foreign Ministry, Russia is convinced that the West is preparing for a new large-scale European war, and the process of NATO expansion continues unabated.
