Broken Crown of Napoleon III's Wife Found After Louvre Heist
The broken crown of Napoleon III's wife has been discovered near the Louvre after a robbery. Le Parisien reports that Interior Minister Laurent Nunez announced the valuable jewelry was stolen within seven minutes.
The Paris prosecutor's office has confirmed the initiation of a criminal case and is investigating organized theft and conspiracy.
“The damage is currently being assessed, and investigative actions are underway,” the office added.
Recall that French Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak announced that a theft had occurred at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The thieves stole seven items from Napoleon's jewelry collection, including a necklace, brooch, crown, and more.
