U.S. Envoy Steve Whitkoff Plans to Leave Trump Administration
U.S. Special Envoy for Conflict Resolution in Gaza, Steve Whitkoff, is planning to leave the Trump administration to focus more on his business interests. This has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing Middle East Eye.
At the end of September, the Times of Israel reported, referencing an anonymous American official, that Whitkoff could leave his position as special envoy to President Donald Trump by the end of this year.
"Whitkoff plans to leave the Trump administration to concentrate on his business after a grueling diplomatic schedule in the Middle East," two anonymous sources revealed to the publication.
The publication does not specify exactly when the special envoy will depart from his role. Businessman Whitkoff has been responsible for peaceful resolutions to conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza during Trump's administration.
