Wife of MP Who Planned Assassination Attempt Against Ilham Aliyev Interrogated: Details
The wife of Ramiz Mehdiyev, former head of the Azerbaijani presidential administration and a member of the Security Council, has been interrogated. It is noteworthy that all family members of Mehdiyev have been banned from leaving the country.
According to sources, Mehdiyeva's testimonies could particularly clarify the situation regarding the former official's close circle and his financial dealings. It has been reported that Mehdiyev was planning to seize power in Azerbaijan with the support of Russia.
Additionally, it has been revealed that the AZAL plane shot down while flying over Grozny was part of a coup conspiracy developed by Ramiz Mehdiyev. It is mentioned that instead of that plane, Aliyev’s plane was supposed to be on board.
