State to Cover Insurance Premiums for Individuals Aged 65 and Over: Avanesyan
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, announced that with the implementation of health insurance, individuals aged 65 and over will be included in the system during the first phase in 2026, and their insurance premiums will be covered by the state.
“Necessary conditions include:
— Armenian citizenship
— Residency in Armenia for more than 183 days
— Individuals aged 65 and over will receive insurance regardless of whether they
a/ Have a status according to the disability or functionality assessment system
b/ Are working and have income or not
c/ Have chronic diseases or not
d/ Are included in any vulnerable social group or not.
