US Authorities See No Need for Nuclear Testing
The Washington administration sees no technical necessity for resuming nuclear weapon tests, stated David Beck, nominee for deputy director of defense programs at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
"To my knowledge, based on publicly available information, there are no technical reasons for conducting underground or surface tests," he said.
It is noteworthy that the agency is part of the US Department of Energy.
