Greta Thunberg to be Deported from Israel
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg will be deported from Israel to Greece after being detained on a ship heading to the Gaza Strip, according to Turkish Anadolu Agency.
According to the agency, a total of 165 activists will be deported. “Thunberg will arrive in Greece along with the Greek citizens who were also arrested by Israel for participating in the flotilla,” the publication states.
As of October 3, Israel had detained about 40 boats of the “Fortitude” flotilla, which were on a humanitarian mission to Gaza. According to organizers, the “Global Sumud” flotilla, consisting of 47 boats, is carrying more than 500 activists.
