Organizers of 'Peaceful Revolution' Arrested in Tbilisi
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has announced the arrest of all five members of the protest organizing committee. Among the arrested are politicians and public figures, including MP Irakli Nadiriadze, former Chief Prosecutor Murtaza Zodelava, and opera singer Paata Burchuladze.
They have been charged with calls to violently overthrow the government and organizing riots, which carries a penalty of up to 9 years in prison.
