Hamas has Lost in Gaza and Must Accept Its 'Capitulation': French Foreign Minister

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has stated that the Palestinian Hamas has lost its struggle in Gaza and must accept its 'capitulation' in accordance with the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

'Hamas bears a heavy responsibility for the calamity facing the Palestinians. It has been defeated. Hamas must reconcile itself with its own capitulation,' Barrot said to the France-Presse agency in Saudi Arabia, referring to the recently adopted UN resolution calling for Hamas to be stripped of governing the future Palestinian state.

On Tuesday, Trump gave Hamas three to four days to accept the peace plan for Gaza, which has the backing of the United States.
