Pashinyan Should Not Express Concern, But Address It: Arakelyan on Parakar Murder
Mesrop Arakelyan, co-founder of the 'Country of Living' party, excludes the possibility that Valodya Grigoryan, who was killed today, had any conflict with anyone. In a conversation with journalists, he stated that it is the inadequacy of Armenia's law enforcement that leads to such incidents occurring.
According to Arakelyan, Nikol Pashinyan, who is the head of the law enforcement system, should not express concern today but rather address those concerns.
It is reported that on September 23, at 23:52, the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received an alert about gunfire in the Yerevan highway of the village of Mraja. One of the deceased is Valodya Grigoryan, the head of the Parakar community, while the second victim is criminal police officer Karen Abrahamyan. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, stated that the officer was off duty and was simply with Valodya Grigoryan at that moment as they had a friendship.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the gunfire and murders in Mraja.
