"3+3" Format a Successful Attempt at Resolving Regional Conflicts Including the Armenia-Azerbaijan Dispute
The "3+3" format in the South Caucasus is a successful attempt at resolving regional conflicts. This was stated by the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, at a press conference today.
He noted that the countries of the South Caucasus should strengthen regional mechanisms to prevent inter-regional interference, and Iran is actively working in that direction.
"The "3+3" format holds historical significance in the South Caucasus. It was established for consultations among the countries in the region, including Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as states that encompass the territory of the South Caucasus. Numerous meetings have been held in various countries to date, with one of the first meetings taking place in Tehran. This mechanism has proven itself, particularly as a regional platform that facilitates the resolution of disputes between Azerbaijan and Armenia," said the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
