Canada Increases Support for Peace in Ukraine, Says Prime Minister
Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney has arrived in Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine's 34th anniversary, he announced on the X social network.
“On this day of Ukraine’s independence and at this crucial moment in our country’s history, Canada is increasing its support and efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” Carney stated.
The Prime Minister will also visit Poland, Germany, and Latvia from August 25 to 27 to strengthen cooperation in key areas, including collective defense.
Carney will also meet with members of the Canadian Armed Forces who are participating in Operation REASSURANCE, which is Canada’s largest military mission abroad.
