Pezeşkiyan Discusses Iran's Stance
Iran's President Masoud Pezeşkiyan has stated that they have always defended Armenia's territorial integrity and oppose any use of force in the region.
According to him, the governance of the region should be by the Caucasus, and the transfer of issues to extra-regional states complicates the situation even further. "For Iran, peace in the Caucasus is a strategic priority, and we support peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Iran's position has been about the inviolability of borders in the Caucasus, and we believe these can become a source of geopolitical competition," he added.
