Putin and Trump Have Found Common Ground Ahead of Negotiations, Reuters Reports
Putin and Trump have likely found common ground ahead of the start of negotiations, according to a report from Reuters.
According to a Kremlin source, during the meeting, the leaders plan to reach an agreement on 'certain terms.' 'We cannot refuse Trump, and we cannot back down; the pressure from sanctions is too great.'
Putin has presented strict demands for a complete ceasefire. The publication mentions phased ceasefire in the air as a possible compromise.
Additionally, the parties are expected to discuss not only the situation in Ukraine but also a new arms control agreement that should replace the existing one, which expires next February.
