The Detention of Samvel Karapetyan is Legal, Says Prosecutor General's Office
The Prosecutor's Office announced that after receiving the judicial act from the Court of Appeals, it will file a cassation appeal against it. This information was provided by the Prosecutor General's Office.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General's Office commented that the fact that the Court of Appeals assessed the detention of Samvel Karapetyan as illegal has no relation to the legality and justification of the judicial act applying detention as a measure of restraint against him.
Specifically, Samvel Karapetyan was released from the specified detention by the decision of the authority conducting the proceedings, and later he was detained on other grounds, which was recognized as legal by the court's decision to apply detention as a measure of restraint, as well as by the judicial act issued as a result of an appeal.
The Court of Appeals deemed the detention of Samvel Karapetyan as illegal.
