Iran-Israel New War Inevitable, Iranian Analyst
Many analysts believe that it has been about 50 days since the ceasefire and the end of the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, during which Israel did not achieve its objectives against Iran. A new war is viewed as inevitable. Moreover, considering Iran's efforts to restore its defensive capabilities, some believe that this war is unavoidable.
According to Tasneem News, referencing the news agency Euronews, Trita Parsi, the executive vice president of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, wrote in an article for Foreign Policy that Israel's objectives in the 12-day war extended beyond just Iran's nuclear program to broader aims. He stated that Israel's three main goals in these assaults were to draw the United States into direct military conflict with Iran, to destabilize the Islamic Republic, and to turn Iran into a country similar to Syria or Lebanon, which could be bombed at any time without challenges or the need for American support.
According to Parsi, Israel has achieved only one goal in this war: drawing the U.S. into military conflict with Iran. For this reason, the likelihood of Israel initiating a new war against Iran before December is high, and it is possible it could happen even as early as late August.
