Iran Awaits IAEA Visit in the Coming Two Weeks
An alternative delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) may arrive in Iran in the coming two weeks to discuss the execution of nuclear obligations. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei, as reported by TASS.
“It is expected that one of the IAEA officials will visit Iran in the coming two weeks, and we will discuss the technical aspects,” said the diplomat.
On July 22, the head of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Iran continues to cooperate with the IAEA and does not rule out that the agency's inspectors may return to the country in the future.
On the same day, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, discussed issues related to Iran and Ukraine with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. Earlier, Trump had threatened to repeat attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities.
