Vehicle License Plates to be Recorded for Drivers Avoiding Weighing Process
The government has adopted a decision to record the license plates of vehicles whose drivers avoid the weighing process. The project's justifications indicate that dozens of drivers evade the weighing process daily and do not comply with the requirements of the installed road signs.
This concerns a stationary weighing point for vehicles located in the Sisian community of the Syunik region, specifically at the 200+000 km section of the M-2 interstate highway. The government plans to implement innovative technologies by integrating a surveillance system that will allow for the recording of license plates of vehicles bypassing the weighing station.
