Khachatur Sukiasyan's Entry into Russia Banned
The Russian authorities have barred the entry of Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction and a businessman, into the country. This information was reported by 24News, citing diplomatic sources.
Earlier, the Russian Federal Security Service announced the arrest of a gang that had stolen diamonds from the "Alrosa" company. According to the statement, the stolen diamonds had entered "ADM Diamonds" LLC, of which Khachatur Sukiasyan is a beneficiary. The individuals arrested in connection with the diamond theft include company employee Valentina Matyushenkova, her son Alexey Matyushenkov, as well as smugglers Armen Petrosyan and Arman Sahakyan.
Sukiasyan's spokesperson, Anna Mkrtchyan, denied any connection between the parliament member and the situation related to "Alrosa." She made a post on the social media platform Facebook, stating that this was yet another false news, entirely fabricated and irrelevant to reality.
In one of his interviews, Sukiasyan stated that the owners of the "ADM Diamond" factory are people close to him, Armen and Artak Bagikyan.
