Czech Republic Responds Firmly to the USA
"NATO expansion is not a threat but a guarantee of peace," stated Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky, responding to comments made by Trump's special representative Keith Kellogg regarding Ukraine, who suggested pausing NATO's expansion in light of "Russia's concerns."
"NATO expansion aligns with Russia's security interests. Where Russia borders NATO countries, there is no war; in other regions, conflict occurs," Lipavsky noted on the X social media platform.
Earlier, Kellogg had referred to the Kremlin's concerns as "justifiable" and indicated that the USA is willing to discuss them. Meanwhile, Zelensky has warned that if Ukraine is not invited to NATO's summit in The Hague, it would give the appearance of a victory for Putin.
