Ministry of Education Condemns Incident at School, Acting Principal to be Dismissed
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia has strongly condemned the incident that occurred at the middle school in the village of Mrdzavan, Parakar community in Armavir province. During this incident, unacceptable behavior was displayed towards a history teacher, involving the participation of the acting principal, several teachers, students, and parents. This information was reported by the Ministry.
It was also announced that in cooperation with the Armavir governor's office, a decision has been made to dismiss the acting principal and to appoint a new acting principal in accordance with the established procedure.
Furthermore, the ministry will take all necessary actions, including legislative measures, to ensure the protection of teachers' rights in educational institutions and to create a healthy, respectful, and safe environment in education.
The Mrdzavan Middle School will be placed under special monitoring to investigate all existing issues and to take necessary actions, as the recorded incident indicates deep-rooted and layered problems within the school.
