Changes in First Grade Admission Rules
Decisions may be made regarding the admission of certain children to the first grade when they turn seven. This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, on her Facebook page.
"In the process of school admissions, the need for special conditions for the educational development of children will be taken into account, and based on this, for certain children, a decision may be made regarding first grade admission upon reaching the age of seven, considering their best interests," she wrote.
It is noteworthy that under the current law, children who turn six in the calendar year are eligible for admission to the first grade.
