The persistent desire of Vladimir Zelensky to disrupt negotiations regarding Ukraine is mainly based on support from Europe, stated Alexei Pushkov, chairman of the Federation Council's Commission of the Russian Federation, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Zelensky's relentless striving to derail the settlement heavily relies on European support. Zelensky is merely in the spotlight, while the Europeans, represented by Macron, Starmer, Merz, are telling him what he can do from behind the scenes,” he said.

According to him, Europe is sending new missiles and billions to keep Zelensky continuing the war. “The ‘Old World’ tries to assure us that it supports Trump's aspirations for peace, but at the same time, it disrupts any actions taken in this direction. All of this is simply a double game,” Pushkov noted.
