US Will Focus on Other Priorities, Rubio Says
The United States will shift its focus to "other priorities" if it determines that there is insufficient progress in negotiations regarding Ukraine. This announcement was made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to TASS.
On April 23, Jay D. Vance stated that it is time for Russia and Ukraine to accept Washington's proposals for resolving the conflict. Otherwise, the politician warned that the U.S. would withdraw from the negotiation process.
Vance noted that the U.S. has presented clearly defined proposals to both sides of the conflict. In particular, U.S. authorities believe that for a ceasefire and a peace agreement to be reached, both Russia and Ukraine need to make territorial concessions. Among other things, Kyiv would have to recognize Crimea as Russian.
