Russia Will Not Participate in Negotiations If Discussion Involves Troop Deployment in Ukraine: Matviyenko
Russia will not support the idea of deploying European Union troops in Ukraine under any circumstances. This statement was made by Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, according to TASS.
The head of the agency addressed the potential topic of foreign troop deployment in Ukraine and emphasized that Russia opposes such initiatives. Moscow is against the deployment of EU troops in Ukraine, whether under the guise of 'peacekeepers' or any other pretext.
'Russia will never participate in negotiations where the idea of deploying European troops in Ukraine is discussed,' Matviyenko stated.
