Russians Do Not Respond to This Proposal: Ukrainian Foreign Ministry
Ukraine is ready to extend the "Easter Ceasefire" for up to 30 days, but the Russians have not responded to this proposal. This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, according to Censor.NET.
“As for the so-called 'Easter Ceasefire', we have yet to hear Moscow's response to our proposal to extend the ceasefire for 30 days. Despite a slight decrease in combat activity yesterday and today, Russian troops continue to assault Ukrainian positions,” said Andrii Sybiha.
The minister emphasized that the key issue is that Ukraine offered to extend the ceasefire after midnight, provided that Russia reciprocates. However, there has been no response from Moscow.
“Russia's actions after midnight, tomorrow and throughout the week will demonstrate its true attitude towards the U.S. peace initiatives and the proposals for a complete ceasefire for 30 days. They will show whether Russia takes peace seriously or if Putin's statements yesterday are merely a manipulation,” the foreign minister concluded.
