White House Denies Tariff Increase News
The White House has refuted reports that all U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods would be raised to 245%, clarifying that only certain categories of products would be subjected to tariffs exceeding 145%.
Previously, U.S. authorities had threatened China with trade tariffs of 'up to 245%' in response to previously established 'reciprocal' duties. As a result, messages had circulated on social media stating that Chinese tariffs had risen to 245%.
