Victims and Injuries Reported Due to Floods in Azerbaijan
According to Azerbaijani media reports, heavy rains in various regions of Azerbaijan have caused flooding. In the Kalva village of the Aghsu region, an excavator working on road renovations overturned. Of the four people in the excavator, one died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries of varying severity.
A total of 41 people have been evacuated from flood zones, including 17 children. Efforts are ongoing to drain flooded areas and evacuate citizens in regions such as Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, Mingachevir, Shirvan, Khachmaz, Shamakhi, Gobustan, and Siyazan. Approximately 15 rivers have overflowed their banks.
