Iran Does Not Need This: Whitcoff
Iran does not need to enrich uranium above 3.67%. This was stated by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff.
"In some circumstances that’s 60%, in others 20%. It can't be. They should not operate as they claim, a civilian nuclear program, where uranium is enriched above 3.67%," he said.
According to Whitcoff, the next phase of negotiations with Iran will focus on the "verification of the uranium enrichment program and eventually, the verification of weapon creation."
"This includes the types of missiles they are holding there. And it includes the missile launch mechanism," he added.
The comments indicate that the U.S. is seeking to limit Iran's uranium enrichment rather than completely halt its nuclear program, as demanded by Israel.
