Do Not Link All the Country's Problems to the U.S. - Ali Khamenei
The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, has expressed a pessimistic view regarding the negotiations taking place between the U.S. and Iran, TASS reports.
“Of course, we have a very pessimistic attitude towards the other side, but we are realistic about our own capabilities,” Khamenei stated.
The Iranian Supreme Leader has called for the country's issues not to be linked to negotiations with the United States, which he described as just one of the many tasks faced by the foreign ministry.
It is worth noting that the first phase of indirect negotiations between the U.S. and Iran took place on April 12 in Muscat, mediated by Oman. The Iranian side was represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, while the American team was led by U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Stephen Vitkof.
