Strong Earthquake in Tajikistan
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in Tajikistan. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. According to their data, the epicenter of the underground tremors was located 170 km south of the city of Khujand. The focus was at a depth of 15 km.
Meanwhile, data from Uzbekistan's Emergency Situations Ministry seismology center, which monitors earthquakes in Central Asia, indicated a magnitude of 5.8. As reported by a TASS correspondent, weak tremors were felt for several seconds in the center of Dushanbe. There is no information about casualties or damages so far.
It is worth noting that various sources have reported different figures regarding the intensity of the earthquake. Initially, there were reports of a magnitude of 6.4, but later other data was provided.
