Armenia's Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, provided the information is conveyed to Armenia, in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Office.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or related information, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.

The statement from the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, alleging that on April 8, during the time period from 19:20 to 22:30, the armed forces of Armenia opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the southeastern part of the border area, is not accurate. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reports this.
