Vilen Gabrielyan's Parliamentary Powers Terminated
The parliamentary powers of Vilen Gabrielyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' party, have been terminated.
'Based on the application for resignation from the member of parliament and guided by the requirements of Article 154, Part 1, Clause 6, and Article 155, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the parliamentary powers of Vilen Gabrielyan, elected from the national electoral list of the 'Civil Contract' party, are considered terminated,' states the official note signed by Alen Simonyan, the President of the National Assembly of Armenia.
It should be noted that Vilen Gabrielyan mentioned on April 1 that the incidents involving him in the city of Gyumri are unbecoming of a member of the National Assembly, and he announced that he is resigning from his parliamentary mandate.
