France to File Complaint Against Iran at ICC
France intends to file a complaint against Iran at the International Criminal Court over the violation of the rights of two French citizens detained in the country. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barraud.
“In light of the unacceptable violations of the rights of our two compatriots, which, unfortunately, are only a part of the severe conditions they are being held in, I would like to announce that we will soon be filing a complaint against Iran at the international court for the breach of consular protection rights,” he stated.
The minister clarified that this concerns Jacques Paris and Cécile Colé, who have been in custody for over 1,000 days, arrested in Iran on charges of espionage.
