Armenia's Position Does Not Contribute to Regional Security, Says Russian State Duma
The refusal of Armenia to fund the CSTO does not contribute to the strengthening of security in the region. This statement was made in an interview with News by Alexei Chepan, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma's Committee on International Affairs.
According to him, this decision by Armenia's leadership distances the country from Russia and weakens bilateral relations. “Unfortunately, such a position from the Armenian leadership does not strengthen our relations. This means that this position does not contribute to the development of security in the region,” said the deputy.
