Will Armenia Pay Membership Fees to the CSTO Budget? Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Will Armenia plan to pay its annual membership fees to the CSTO budget? In response to a query from Sputnik Armenia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia stated, "The Armenian side has officially informed the CSTO Secretariat that it will refrain from signing the CSTO Security Council decision on the 'CSTO Budget for 2024' and, therefore, from participating in financing the activities of the organization as outlined in the budget."
According to internal CSTO procedures, information regarding the organization's annual budget is not public in nature.
It is worth noting that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stated that if Armenia does not pay its membership fees to the CSTO budget by the end of 2025, member countries of the organization "could consider various scenarios."
