EU Calls for a Clear Deadline for Ceasefire in Ukraine
The head of EU diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, has called for a clear deadline to be set for a ceasefire in Ukraine, accusing Russia of dragging out the process.
“Russia must stop its delaying tactics; it needs to cooperate and, like Ukraine, agree to an immediate cessation of fire, unconditionally. We need progress within a specific timeframe,” Kallas wrote on X following a meeting of the G5 foreign ministers (Spain, Germany, France, Italy, and Poland) held in Madrid, which also included representatives from Great Britain and Ukraine.
